Our Vision

We will serve for spiritual needs in Chuo-ward, one of the 23 wards in Tokyo, which we believe is the center of Japan. We will strive for making this church a true joy for the community around us. Additionally, we will share the Gospel with business persons in Ginza, Tsukiji, and Harumi areas, as well as with young families in Tsukishima and Kachidoki areas. We will support business persons to be able to live the Gospel, so that they may take part in building up the kingdom of God through their occupations.

In order to achieve this vision, we are looking for workers with pastoral experience domestically and internationally. We aim to work as a team with diversity so that we might be able to reach a wide range generations and multi-ethnicities. We are committed to establish a new Evangelical Free Church where we can worship our creator God together.

This is our long term vision and the 1st stage, when our manpower and other all resources are limited, we are going to concentrate onto following two directions.

Reaching business persons for Christ

It is very challenging for Christians in Japan to share their faith with others for Japanese culture respects harmony with others; there is a pressure of conformity in Japanese society. However, we believe when they do share their faith publicly and live boldly as Christians at their workplace, they will be set free from idols such as their position, possession, and reputation from others. ‘Sunday Christians’ won’t be influential in the society. But, if all Christians in Japan live as light and salt of the world during the weekdays, we can surely influence our workplace and our family, Japan, and eventually the whole world. It is our vision to change Japan and the world by empowering Christian business persons with the Gospel.

Reaching young families for Christ

Many Christian business persons are Christian parents at home. If they are living fully with Christ even in weekday, family members will witness that they are serious about their faith. This is exactly why we put equal weight on ministering to business persons and to families. If mothers and fathers are living as true followers of Christ, children will learn from their modeling even if no words are spoken directly to witness Christ to them. We believe in the power of God to transform the whole family when Christian parents are living in the Gospel.
